Wax & Wine @ The Watchhouse-Friday 22nd August 6-8.30pm

€115.00

Ever wanted to make your own piece of jewellery?

Join me, Marianne for a hands on workshop and unforgettable evening where you’ll learn to craft your very own ring out of wax while sipping a glass of delicious wine, while Katie from the Watch House serves up some delicious snacks.

I will then cast your ring in sterling silver and finish it for you, so you can wear it with pride or gift it to a lucky person!

Perfect for those looking for a different or special evening to share in the company of others. My workshop is suitable for total beginners as I will guide you through the making process in a relaxed and fun atmosphere! So grab a buddy or come solo, all are welcome!

What is wax carving, I hear you ask?

Wax carving is a jewellery making technique where designs are sculpted from wax, serving as a model for casting into metal. It's sculpting, but on a small scale, allowing for the creation of complex shapes that are difficult to achieve with traditional metalworking techniques. Using wax this way allows us to then cast into a metal of our choice without having to waste any metal.
